Football On The Road (Hand Ba' Exhibition)

This time of year sees several traditional ba’ games held in the streets and fields of the region - and Live Borders Museums Galleries & Archives are taking a special touring display round some of them, as part of 2025’s special “Border-line Football” series of events. Featuring interpretation, archive photographs, historic and reproduction hand ba’s plus other historical objects, this pop-up exhibition will interest ba’ players, locals and visitors alike. Come and celebrate the origin of a sport predating football and rugby.

Thursday 6th March – Jethart Ba’ – display in Jedburgh Town Hall from 11am to 5pm
